Los Angeles – Senator Curren D. Price, Jr. endorses Danny Tabor for Mayor of Inglewood and congratulates him for his first place finish in the June 8th primary.
“Mr. Tabor has a long distinguished career in public and private service and has proven his commitment to the residents of Inglewood,” said Senator Price. “He is a proven entity who has consistently been a voice for the underserved in our community.”
Danny Tabor is an Inglewood councilmember and currently Mayor Pro Tem. He will head into a run off election for the city’s mayoral seat after receiving 26.38% of the vote in the June 8th election making him one of the two top vote getters. The run off election will take place in August.
Tabor was re-elected to the Inglewood City Council in June 2007 to represent the first District. He previously served as Senior Community Organizer for the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy; Community Voice-PICO; Coalition for a Better Inglewood, Negotiator for the $500 million dollar Community Benefits Agreement between the Los Angeles World Airports and the LAX Coalition for Economic, Environmental and Educational Justice; and Program Manager with the Community Development Commission, County of Los Angeles.
From 1993 to 1996 Councilman Tabor served as the Southern California Liaison for the Office of the Secretary, United States Department of Commerce, under Secretary Ronald H. Brown. Councilman Tabor brings to the community vast experience in the areas of public policy development and community planning.
